| A big wide receiver, the size of a small tight end, he is best used down the middle where he does not mind contact. Does a good job of turning upfield once he has the ball and runs with purpose. catches the ball with his hands and once he gets going he is tough to bring down because of his size. He is not very fast but instead he has good hands and is good for a lot of catches down the middle. |

| Nelson started at slot receiver as a junior, for an area champion and talent laden team (12 college signees and five Division I signees) Nelson had nine receptions for 93 yards and five carries for 38 yards and two touchdowns.
