Marquez Herrod watched the Colorado State Rams and their fans rush Folsom Field last season and dance at midfield.
There was never any chance the sight would be evicted from Herrod's memory, but just in case he made sure he wouldn't forget by hanging a picture of the postgame party by the green and gold above his bed.
"I think about it every single day," Herrod said. "It's disrespectful and it bothers me very, very much. It just gives me that much more fuel to come out this year and make sure it doesn't happen again."
Herrod will be one of the anchors of the CU defense this season at defensive end. He led the Buffs in sacks in 2009 and hopes to build on that in his final season in the program.
Last year the Buffs struggled early defensively, including giving up some big plays against the Rams. Herrod believes CU has made progress and is better prepared for the opener this year.
"Colorado State kind of lined up and said, 'Hey, here is what we're doing. Stop it.' And we didn't, bottom line.
"It's just play more physical, play harder and just do our jobs really.
