300 milestone for Cabral

It's more than safe to call him a legend. It's a title well earned for longtime Colorado linebackers coach Brian Cabral, who will be a part of his 300th game in the program as a player and coach Saturday when the Buffs take on Texas A&M.

Cabral finished his CU career as a player in 1977 as the program's all-time leading tackler with 297 stops. He still ranks 16th on the list and has coached eight of the players who have passed him.

Cabral is most proud of the players he has coached and helped to shape into better men in his time in the program.

"I think loyalty has kept me here," he said. "The pride and being able to give back to a university and to a program that has given so much to me.

We thought we would let Cabral's players share their thoughts on the coach as a special day approaches Saturday.
