Tracy Moore from Union High School in Tulsa, Okla., lists a school just up the road from his home as his favorite, but he said he is visiting Colorado this weekend because he wants to know more about the Buffs.
Moore, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound playmaker is celebrating a state championship won last weekend in the Oklahoma 6A Classification. He made a key third-quarter reception in the game played in Boone Pickens Stadium on the Oklahoma State campus. Moore said the Cowboys are the team to beat for his signature in national signing day.
Moore said he is coming to Colorado on Friday for his first official visit with a simple goal.
"I just want to know if it's a place I want to be," he said.
Moore finished the season with 71 receptions with 13 touchdowns and more than 1,000 yards. He is being recruited by a lengthy list of schools, including Missouri, Kansas, OSU, Tulsa and the Buffs.
Moore and his Union teammates spent Thursday afternoon choosing what style they wanted for their state championship rings. Soon he will move on to the basketball season.
"Recruiting is going really good, so good that the coaches won't let me go to basketball yet and they have me meeting with the college coaches every day," Moore told Scout.com's Robert Allen.
