"There is not much going on right now," explained Ethan Adkins. "Everything is pretty much the same with recruiting except in the last week Michigan has started to show a little interest. They say that their O-line coach might be contacting me soon so I kind of want to see what happens with them before I make a decision. I will probably make it now towards the end of the summer. Maybe by the end of next month."
Adkins attended CU's camp last week and claims to have enjoyed himself. "I did pretty good there. I learned some helpful things. Coach Hawkins took about 25 of us on a tour of the campus and into the press boxes and places like that - so that was cool."
The lineman from defending state champion, Douglas County, had a chance to work with some other CU prospects and commitments. "Ryan Miller is a big guy and he is pretty athletic. He is also fun to be around because he jokes a lot. I was pretty impressed with Shawn Daniels. He looked like he has improved since last year."
Adkins still has written offers from CU, Colorado State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, and Wyoming. "Colorado is still my favorite. I'd say Kansas State and Oklahoma State are tied for second. Then I also like Michigan and would like to see more from them."
One school has informed the lineman that they are filling up fast and could use a decision from him in the very near future. "Kansas State told me a couple weeks ago that they have a lot of good lineman in Kansas that they are looking at and that are wanting to commit. So they kind of told me they'd like a decision here soon."
Adkins plans on attending CU's elite camp, July 28th.
