As a senior, Chapelle Brown
had 42 catches for 718 yards and nine touchdowns. He also had 10 carries for 118 yards and one touchdown. On defense, he had 25 tackles and seven interceptions. "He has been a three year starter for us," Los Altos Head Coach Greg Gano
explained, "He has always played well in the big games for us. He is the third of three brothers and the other two were also great athletes here, but he has more ability for the level of college football he'll be at."
Brown told his head coach of his commitment to the Buffs upon arriving home from his visit. "We were having a football banquet and he came in at 2 o'clock and told me the news. We are real excited for him. Chapelle is a big leaper, he is only 5-9 but he can slam dunk a basketball. He is also plenty fast. He could play on either side of the ball but Colorado likes him at corner."
Coach Gano went on to say that Brown also had an offer from Southern Utah. "Weber State and New Mexico were coming in on him and they were also going to offer. He has a cousin at New Mexico."
The corner is fully qualified.
The BSN is scheduled to speak with Brown later today for his comments on becoming a Buff.
Colorado needs some help at the corners and they got some this weekend as Hacienda Heights Los Altos Corner, Chapelle Brown, committed to the Buffs after a weekend official visit. The Buffalo Sports News finds out more about Brown in a Monday morning interview with his coach.
