With a non-conference schedule that consists of three teams from California and a renewed game with the Oklahoma Sooners, the University of Colorado 2002 football schedule will be a challenge.
The Buffs will once again open the season against in-state rival Colorado State at Invesco Field at Mile High in Denver. CU will be the home team this year and the Rams will be out to avenge the 41-14 spanking they received last year from the Buffs.
Next up is San Diego State, a team the University of Colorado has never played on the football field. The Aztecs are coming off a less than spectacular 3-8 season.
The Buffs will then welcome USC to Folsom Field for their third straight home game. The Buffs last took on the Trojans in 2000 when they had every opportunity to win the game but lost 17-14.
CU will then take their first road -trip to LaLa land to play the UCLA Bruins. The Bruins are coming off a 7-4 season and return several stars.
Colorado will then open up the Big 12 Conference schedule at home when they take on Kansas State.
Some highlights of the Buffs Big 12 schedule include a trip to Norman, Oklahoma to play the Sooners, a team CU hasn’t played since 1999 and the season finale against the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Lincoln.
