Husker Commit Gives Thoughts on Boulder

One of the more heavily-recruited tight end prospects in the nation took a weekend visit to Colorado for the Nebraska game. The kicker is that he is, in fact, a Cornhusker commit. We caught up with Michael McNeil to get the scoop on what his visit entailed.

Height: 6-4
Weight: 215
40 time: 4.7
From: Kirkwood, Missouri
High School: Kirkwood

"It was a nice trip," Michael McNeil said. "We (he and teammate Jeremy Maclin) got picked up at the airport and went straight to the hotel to check in. Then we went and saw the facilities. We went to the game and after it we went to eat with Coach Inge, Zach Jones and Patrick Williams."

Is Colorado in the mix after the trip? "I don't think so. I am still committed to Nebraska. I will be going on a trip to Missouri this weekend, but I am set on Nebraska. I have a sister that is a sophomore at Mizzou."

McNeil finished the season with 35 receptions for 686 yards and four touchdowns. Thus far, he has received first team all-conference honors. State honors are not yet available.
