As a junior, Pryce Macon had 50-plus tackles, 10 sacks, three fumble recoveries, and one interception. Macon was named first team all-district, all-area and all-South Texas. "I am quick, fast and explosive," he says.

He has written offers from Arizona, Colorado, Houston, Oklahoma, Purdue, Texas A&M, and Texas Christian. "I was also at Texas two days ago and they said they had an offer for me. They spoke with my father today and said they'll be sending it.

"My top schools are A&M, Texas, Oklahoma, and TCU."

Macon joked that his mother was right there and those were the schools she was telling him to name. Then he went on to say that he also has interest in Arizona and Colorado. "I liked Colorado growing up. They were one of my favorite teams."

Coach Wristen is after him for the Buffs.

Most schools have told Macon that they would like him to start at defensive end, then gain weight to move inside to tackle. "It does not matter to me where I play. I am fine with that plan."

Macon carries a 3.2 core GPA and scored an 860 on the SAT. He would like to major in Kinesiology.
