Colorado Now Leads For Sherman

The addition of Colorado legend Darian Hagan to the CU coaching staff is beginning to pay dividends. Colorado is slowly becoming a presence in an area they used to have their pick of athletes, but over the past decade have been fairly absent. Wide Receiver Richard Sherman believes that CU is about to offer and they are now his leader when only a couple months ago the Buffs were nowhere to be found amongst his favorites.

"Colorado has told me they could be offering this week," said Richard Sherman. "Coach Hagan told me he showed my tape to the head coach and he liked it. So today I sent them my transcripts and after they check my grades we should be good to go."

BSN has seen Sherman's transcripts and he will have absolutely no trouble qualifying with a 3.8 core GPA and a 990 SAT score.

So what would a Colorado offer do for Sherman? "Oh man, I am real excited about it," he exclaimed. "They were the first school to show a real interest in me and they have been showing a lot of love lately. Coach Hagan told me that he thinks if I come in and work hard I can play early. He said nothing will be given to me, of course. But, he truly believes I can compete if I come in ready. They are my top choice right now."

CU may not be the only school ready to tender an offer to the Dominguez athlete. "I spoke with Stanford today and they are also talking about offering.

"USC says they like my size and they think I could be a perfect lock-up corner for them. We'll see what happpens with them. They are coming by the school on Monday."

Sherman, at 6-2 1/2, is being recruited to Boulder as a receiver - his position of preference. Wideout is also where the Cardinal likes him.

He has a tentative date set to visit Boulder. "We are talking about scheduling a visit for me in early October. It would most likely be for the Texas A&M game. I am really looking forward to that."

Sherman is looking at Oregon and Mississippi State in addition to the three aforementioned schools.

He will be attending the Scout.com combine in Berkeley, May 15th. The athlete also plans on attending camps at Arizona and USC.
