Jacob Lacey took his official trip to Boulder this past weekend. We find out how it was and where the Buffs now stand with him.

Height: 5-10
Weight: 170
40 time: 4.42
Bench: 260
Clean: 225
Vertical:'35
From: Garland, Texas
High School: Naaman Forest

"It was pretty good," said Lacey of the visit. "I got to check out the campus and the weight room. I got to speak with Coach Bray and he told me that I could see early time there. He seemed like a nice guy and like a guy that knows a lot about the position."

Lacey also sat down with Coach Barnett. "He was basically telling me the same thing that Bray was. That I have an opportunity to come in and play. He also asked me if distance was going to be a factor in my decision and I told him it wasn't."

For Lacey to play corner as a true freshman he will have to really learn the position quickly. He played only at quarterback for Naaman Forest this fall and had a great season. He rushed for 1,200 yards and passed for 650 yards. He totalled 15 touchdowns on the year and was named the offensive MVP of district 11-5A.

Lacey had already visited Kansas the weekend of the 3rd and will now be heading to Wisconsin this weekend. He might also head over to Iowa after the trip to Madison. On the 7th of January, he will take a trip to Oklahoma State. "I am pretty sure that I will take that visit and wait until after then to make my decision."

Coach Gilmore is expected to come by the Lacey home later this week, or next week for a visit.
