Colorado has aggressively recruited many of the nation's finest defensive lineman this recruiting season, and gained the rewards for doing so this past Thursday in accepting the verbal commitment of Chris Todd
. The defensive lineman chose the Buffs over Arkansas
"Chris gave a verbal commitment to Colorado this past Thursday," said head coach Travis Hill. "Colorado was the only visit he took, and really has been his top school for sometime. I know Coach Wilson from our coaching days at NEO Oklahoma A&M, and knew Chris would be taken care of up there."
In fact, according to Coach Hill, its almost been as if Todd has been committed to Colorado since this past summer.
"I'm from the college coaching ranks, and I sat Chris down this past summer to starting targeting his top schools. I knew it wasn't going to work for him to list his top fifty schools so he named a top three of Colorado, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State. The Sooners and Cowboys backed off, and Colorado stayed on him the entire time. I think there was just a large amount of comfort built between Chris and the staff."
Todd was named to the first team all-state squad by the Daily Oklahoman after putting up huge senior stats. He garnered 110 tackles, 14 sacks, four forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries.
Tulsa East Central defensive lineman Chris Todd
ended his recruitment this past Thursday after only taking one official visit. That is all he needed in deciding his best fit was at the University of Colorado.
