DT Has Former Buff Player and Family in His Ear

Lindsey is one of the top DT's in the Northwest

Colorado likes to peek into Washington and grab a player every few years. A player they are very interested in this year is Antonio Lindsey out of Federal Way High. Lindsey has spoken with former Buff Victor Rogers, who now plays for the Detroit Lions, and Rogers has told him great things about CU. Victor's Uncle is also Antonio's Barber. So he is also in Lindsey's ear about the Buffs.

"Rogers has told me that Colorado is an unbelievable place to go to school. His Uncle also talks to me about them all the time."

Antonio went on about why else he likes CU.

"I like the tradiiton at Colorado. It is unmatched by anybody. The scenery is also great."

He recently received a call from CU's recruiting coordinator, David Hansburg, and Coach Barnett was also in the room.

"Barnett told the recruiting coordinator to tell me they are real interested in me."

So are many other schools, and if Antonio keeps playing like he has been the offers should be coming in anytime from the D1 schools, he has many D2 offers. On the season so far through four games he has five and a half sacks and seven tackles for loss. He has been playing at end and tackle for his team but he prefers the interior and that is where he is being recruited at.

"I don't think anybody can block me. I am quick off the ball and I stay low."

Lindsey has a current list that includes Colorado, Washington, Washington State, Nebraska, Arizona State, and Oregon State with no favorite. He plans on setting visits with Arizona State, Oregon State, Washington, and Washington State and says his last one wil be between Colorado and Nebraska. Of the two he says the Cornhuskers are pursuing him harder.

Federal Way is 2-2 on the year and they take on the no.2 ranked team in the state, Bethel, on Friday.

Lindsey carries a 3.3 GPA and will take his SAT in October. He is not sure what he would like to major in at this point.
