Buffs Still Calling In-State Star

Rauschelbach has Mullen ranked no.1

It is becoming more and more apparent that CU seems to be interested in a few quarterbacks despite having one commitment at the position in Ryan Walters. Even though they have not offered anyone besides Walters they are actively recruiting a handful, including in-state prospect Conor Rauschelbach. Coach Wristen called Conor Monday night.

Height: 6-3
Weight: 207

Bench: 230
Squat: 325
Vertical:'28 From: Denver, Colorado
High School: Mullen

"I just spoke with Coach Wristen a couple of minutes ago. He was telling me that they are not sure if they are going to take another one, but that they are interested in me."

CU is a school that Conor is also interested in as the Buffs stand fifth on his list right now.

"Oregon is my favorite followed by Kansas State. Then I like Texas, and after them comes Fresno State and Colorado."

Rauschelbach does not have any offers yet but is starting to work on some visit dates.

"Oregon is actually supposed to call tonight and set something up with me."

Conor is intrigued by CU for many reasons.

"I like the coaching staff a lot. I think Coach Watson is one of the best in the business and he will be a head coach again someday. I don't think it will be soon though because he told me that he still has a lot of business left with the CU offense so it may be a few years. I have also played with some guys that go there."

So far on the year Conor has ran and passed for four touchdowns. He thinks he has around 600 yards through the air. Mullen is currently ranked no.1 in the state in the 5A class. This is one of the things Conor prides himself on.

"I am a winner. I became a starter here my sophomore year and we were supposed to go 4-6 and we made the state playoffs. Last year we did the same. This year everybody expected us to be at .500 for the year and we are ranked no.1 and undefeated. We get all types here at Mullen and I have the ability to bring guys together with different personalities and egos. I think I show great leadership."

Mullen takes on Boulder Fairview next.

Rauschelbach carries a 2.9 GPA and will take his SAT this weekend. He thinks that he might want to major in Buisness but is not positive.
