National Signing day is seven days away, Colorado had three official visitors on campus this past weekend.

One longtime commitment for the Buffs, linebacker Grant Watanabe from Texas, took his official visit to Boulder.

"It was really great, I had a lot of fun," Watanabe told BuffPlayBook.com. "It was everything I expected it to be and more."

This was Watanabe third visit to the CU campus, one thing he got to experience this time more than he did the others was enjoying the student life experience of the Boulder campus.

"I got to see more student life and more of a true college atmosphere throughout the campus and town," Watanabe said. "I got a complete tour of the campus and now know my way around a lot better."

One thing that has really stood out to the Texas linebacker is the relationships he has built with Mike MacIntyre and the Buff coaching staff.

"I love Coach Mac," Watanabe said. "He is a great man, a great teacher and really knows how to get the most out of his players. I have had a lot of opportunities to get to know all of the coaches, I'm excited about being around them the next four to five years."

According to Watanabe, the Buff coaching staff is hoping he will make an immediate impact for CU.

"They are wanting me to come in and start as a true freshman either at the will or mike linebacker position," Watanabe said. "It all up to me. On how good shape I am when I get to camp and how hard I'm willing to work. I'm going to give it everything I have."

There is no doubt where the 240-pound, 5-foot-11 athlete is going to sign next week.

"I'm definitely 100 percent committed to Colorado," Watanabe said. "There is no doubt where I'm going to college."
