This is the time of year that a lot of the top junior prospects start hearing from colleges, starting their recruiting process.

One California signal caller that is starting to see what the recruiting process is all about is Scout.com's 4 star quarterback Brady White of William S. Hart HS.

BuffPlayBook.com recently caught up with White to get his thoughts on his recruitment.

"It's going really well," White said. "Several schools are showing interest, my only offer so far is San Jose State."

According to White, he is hearing from Colorado, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Notre Dame, Penn State, Auburn, Tennessee, Cal and Miami.

Colorado veteran offensive line coach Gary Bernardi is recruiting White for the Buffs.

"Coach Bernardi is very well known around my area," White said. "All of our coaches respect him a lot. We building a good relationship with each other, I really look forward to being recruited by Colorado."

White got the opportunity to attend the UCLA vs Colorado game earlier this season.

"I thought Colorado did well," White said. "UCLA has a great team, Colorado put up a good fight. It was a great experience to watch the Buffs."

White has been impressed with Coach Mike MacIntyre and his coaching staff's approach on playing the best player at each position.

"It makes a big statement," White said. "On how much trust he has in his players. It also shows that he is going to play the best player no matter how old they are."

White is well aware of the complete turnaround MacIntyre and his staff did at San Jose State.

"They know what they are doing rebuilding programs," White said. "They did it San Jose State and I'm sure they are going to do great things at Colorado."

White got a chance to get to know the Buffs coaching staff at a traveling camp this past summer.

"I really liked their coaches, they were great," White said. "They seemed they liked me a lot. I won the fastest man contest out of the quarterback/linebacker group.
