It wasn’t a matter if a local Colorado athlete was going to be a Buff, the question was when?
That answer came Sunday afternoon as Cherokee Trail HS player Evan White, picked up the phone and made the call to Colorado coaches.
“I have known for a while this is where I wanted to go,” White said. “It just feels right, I really like the coaches a lot and felt it was the best place for me.”
White camped with Colorado during the Buffs last camp, he was impressed with CU coaches, how they coached and the entire atmosphere around Boulder.
“Camp was great,” White said. “I was very close to committing after the camp, I have liked them a lot for sometime now. To represent the top school in my home state is too much to pass up.”
White has several offers including one from Colorado, Colorado State and New Mexico State.
The 6-foot-3 190-pound athlete is expected to play safety or free safety for the Buffs.
