Larry Drew on Washington trip:

Q: alright, so Larry, just talk about… obviously, this big past weekend, beating the Arizona schools. How do you kind of carry that momentum on the road?

LD2: guys played well. We all played hard. Together as a team. We knew it was going to be some tough games but we stuck together. We kept battling all the way through and ended up with the wins. It's going to be tough. You know, on the road. Anywhere you go in the PAC-12, especially at the Washington schools. You just have to continue what we did in these previous games. And carry it to the next game. You know, the rest will take care of itself.

Q: obviously, you've never played up there. Have you kind of heard how tough this kind of trip is?

LD2: yeah, Coach [Howland] all practice kept preaching about how tough it would be to play at these two schools, but I'm looking forward to it.

Q: earlier this season, when you guys had a 10-game winning streak and you guys kind of fell off, Howland said you guys didn't handle success very well. How are you changing that, now that you're on the floor [audio difficulties] now?

LD2: we know it's our last 2 games in the conference. And you know, that's like the worst thing we could possibly do right now is just to start getting a big head, overconfident, thinking ,"We're the best." Whatever. We can't have that type of mindset. We have to stay humble. And stay hungry. Just working hard.

Q: what was the reaction like when you guys beat Arizona? Was it kind of a big party?

LD2: no, I mean, it was exciting for me. You know, it was my senior night, my last game home. You know, it was special for me. You know, guys… everybody played well. Kyle [Anderson] had a good game. Shabazz [Muhammad] had a really good game. So we played well. Tony [Parker] played well. Norman [Powell]. Jordan [Adams]. Everybody played well so it's only natural for guys to enjoy themselves after the game. But you can't dwell on it. We had Sunday off. We got time to rest our bodies and get into the cold tub or whatever. Today, we had a good practice. We'll just take it one day at a time.

Q: did it occur to you guys that you guys now have kind of… you're guaranteed a top-4 seed in the PAC-12 [tournament] so you don't have to play on the Wednesday of that tournament?

LD2: we don't really focus too much on that. We just, like I said, just go one game at a time. One day at a time. And just try to focus on that.

Q: do you think about, if you do sweep out and win the next 2 games, that you will be, you know, tied for the PAC-12, co-champions and that sort of thing?

LD2: "If if was a fifth then we'd all be drunk. " That's what I heard one time. I don't really go based too much off of "if." So again, we'll just take it one day at a time and go out there and play as hard as we can…
