"I have a few official visits scheduled right now," said Ragin. "I am not making any decisions, just take my visits and see how things go."
Colorado and Oregon State have offered Ragin, and he thinks California is close.
"I have no favorites," said Ragin. "I am just looking for a good atmosphere and to get on the playing field. I also look at how they coach and how they compete."
Ragin plays running back and safety in high school, but his 6'3" 215lbs frame has college coaches looking at moving him closer to the line of scrimmage.
"Most of the schools are targeting me as an outside linebacker," said Ragin. "Some are looking at me as a hybrid defensive end and linebacker."
Ragin and his teammates are preparing for an opening round playoff match up with Bend (Ore.) Mountain View this weekend.
"We really came close as a unit, when we hit adversity we went through it," said Ragin. "We got better each week and are focused on making a run at the state title."
