Solomon Thomas, a 6-foot-3, 245-pound defensive end from Coppell (Texas) High is on of the countries most highly sought after recruits in the Class of 2014.

With schools like Baylor, Clemson, Colorado, Iowa, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Texas, UCLA, West Virginia amongst his 17 early scholarship offers he is rated as the No. 3 defensive end prospect in the country by Scout.com.

He and his Coppell Cowboy teammates are in the middle of an undefeated season, but a Thursday night game opened up an opportunity for him to make a trip to SEC country for one of the biggest games on the national scene.

"This weekend I will be going to LSU," Thomas informed. No. 5 LSU will host No. 1 Alabama in Baton Rouge at 8:00 PM EST Saturday.

"I am looking to see just a great atmosphere and have a great time. I have never been to LSU, but I have a lot of friends from there and they say it is a great place."

"I just can't wait to see what it is like."

Thomas will be putting the focus on a hopeful State Title run but if his schedule allows he would like to work in unofficial stops to "OU or Texas" in the coming weeks.
